In our business directories that are online on the Internet you can find a lot of information for your vacation. There you can search for addresses or telephone numbers of hotels, the appropiate directions and providers of last minute flights.
Over the years I had the luck to be able to travel to many European countries. So I could visit some nice places from the Baltic Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. The type of lodging varied also very strong. I used camping grounds a lot of times, but also hotels and vacation homes. For my decisions concerning the holidays I use business directories regularly. Here you can obtain good information about travel agencies, hotels etc. There vacation homes, cruises, rental cars and more can be found.
I think I start with my portrayal in the far north. The first trip should go to the beautiful Sweden. Actually I wanted to book a flight, but I thought that it probably would be more interesting to go there by car by myself. My motto was: No risk, no fun. A friend of mine booked a bus trip for us in a tourist office once, but I didn’t really like that. So I chose my car and started the journey. After traveling a long time with my car and afterwards with the ferry boat I finally reached my destination. Sweden is a really nice country. I looked at my map and searched for the next camping ground to go there. Finally at 8 o’clock in the evening I found the desired sign with the inscription ‘Campingplatser’. The following days were really nice, above all the Swedish summer (there it is called Sommar) can really be recommended. As I had been in the North before, I decided to spend some days in Denmark as a stopover on my way back to Germany, because I had to cross this country anyway. After a ride that last several hours, I left the ferry and read the sign with the words: "Welcome to Denmark", which I had already seen on my outward journey. Luckily I quickly found an agency, which was specialising in renting vacation homes. Their sign with the label ‘Sommerhusferie’ attracted my interest. So I entered, rented a cottage, a beautiful sommerhus, close to a beautiful lake and relaxed there for the rest of my holiday.
Another time I planned to spend my holidays in Great Britain. This time I bought a ticket for an airplane to go there. I started in my home town and landed in London not much later. That was very easy and quick. The airport in the gigantic metropolis is called ‘Heathrow Airport’. Fortunately, there was an opportunity to use the Internet to report my friends and my family that I arrived save at the destination. After this I wanted to examine London for some days. For theses purposes I rent a room in a hotel, which lay quite in the center. At night I went first into one of the well-known clubs of London that was also referred to as a disco. The unusual was that just on this day a wedding couple celebrated their marriage in this club. Next I decided to go on to Scotland as I planned it before. The nice lady at the airport counter asked me, if I wanted to fly in the business or the economy class. As the more comfortable places seemed a little bit too expensive for me, I chose the most affordable alternative. After I had arrived in Scotland I rent there a room in a motel. Next, I went into one of the beautiful pubs that are also referred to as Inns in Scotland. The event that had been announced on posters shaped up as a concert of a nice folk band. Luckily I got one of the tickets that were sold in the evening. So I celebrated there until the pub closed. Now I can be proud of a membership of the Scottish Party Association.
France was my next holiday destination. I wanted to visit Paris, the city of love. I went there by an airplane checked in in one of the hotels, which are written hôtels in French, immediately. As I had heard much about the restaurants in the capital city of France, I asked the hotelier to get recommended one by him. As I left the hotel to go to the restaurant, I saw that the traffic in Paris was nose-to-tail, everywhere I looked, I saw automobiles. After a good meal and a few more nice days I went back home.
On my next holiday a friend of mine, who lives in the Netherlands, came along with me. My friend, who would use the word vakanties for vacations, wanted to visit the Isle of Rhodes, but I could convince him to come with me to Italy. For this he had informed in a travel agency and had printed a route for our journey to the nice country in Southern Europe. He had already brochures of Rhodes, but these had been useless now, because we wanted to travel to the beautiful Tuscany. As we arrived there we rent an apartment, as we had planned it before, freshened up a little bit and spent the rest of the day in one of the fantastic restaurants. Its name was Casa di Scampi and we ordered wonderful seafood. Finally I would say that it was a nice vacanze with my friend.
My last holiday was in Spain, whereas I made a short visitation of Portugal. After I had arrived there by car, I searched for an appartement. Fortunately, I could get one without a reservation, which is called reservas on plural in Spanish, before. My vacation has been very nice. In between, as I mentioned, I made a trip to Portugal. There I visited the center of the city Lisbon and took part in a sight-seeing tour. There I saw a castle and an airport. Altogether I can say that this city is very interesting.
